The club enters boys and girls teams into the Yorkshire Youth Hockey League at U10, U12, U14 and U16 age ranges. Tournaments are played in the region on a Sunday morning or afternoon approximately every 6 weeks. Entries are also made for the Under 10’s and Under 12’s into the ‘County Mini Hockey Championships’, and the Under 14’s and Under 16’s into the England Hockey National Cup Competitions.

Our qualified coaches are trained in child safeguarding and have enhanced DBS qualifications, allowing them to work with children. We welcome parents to all training and competitions, and value their support. We are keen to try and involve parents in the club and you can find out more about the club from this website, our regular emails and our managers and coaches.

Junior Development

Junior Development

Saturday Hockey

When our Junior members turn 13 years old they are eligible to train and play with the club’s adult teams. The club has a structured pathway to enable youngsters to progress to higher adult teams when they are ready.

Representational Hockey

We encourage our juniors to seek representational honours at county, regional and national levels when ready. Currently KuHHC have numerous junior male and female regional players and too many county players to mention!

Coaching and Umpiring Opportunities

Older juniors are encouraged to gain umpiring, young leadership and coaching qualifications. They can become involved in the many junior events held at the club as umpires and assistant coaches. Several older juniors help regularly at coaching sessions, and we have opportunities for our 14-18 year old members who wish to improve as a coach or umpire. A contribution to funding for these qualifications is available from the Club. If you are interested in becoming involved in above the roles, please email Zlewishockey@gmail.com

Other Opportunities

Junior members are offered other masterclass training sessions and camps during holiday periods.
